Heard learned counsel for the appellant, learned A.G.A for the State and perused the record. This Criminal Appeal has been preferred under Section 14-A (1) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 against the entire proceedings of Sessions Case No. 1311 of 2024 (State Vs. Ramveer Baghel and others), arising out of Case Crime No. 110 of 2024, under sections 147, 323, 504, 506, 354, 354-B IPC and Sections 3(2)(V-a), 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) of the S.C. and S.T. (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, P.S. New Agra, District Agra, pending in the court of learned Special Judge (SC/ST Act), Court No. 2, District Agra and the charge-sheet dated 17.05.2024. Learned counsel for appellant submits that he is not pressing the appeal on merits and the present appeal may be disposed of finally with the direction to the court below that in case appellant surrenders before the court below and apply for bail, his bail application may be considered and decided expeditiously in accordance with law, including the law laid down in the case of Satender Kumar Antil Vs. Central Bureau of Investigation and another, (2021) 10 SCC 773. Learned A.G.A. for the State has opposed the appeal. For a period of 30 days from today or till the time of applying the bail application before the court concerned, whichever is earlier, no coercive action shall be taken against the appellant.
