1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA CWP No.17856 of 2025 Decided on: 17th November, 2025 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rajesh Kumar …..Petitioner Versus State of H.P. and others .....Respondents ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Coram Ms. Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua Whether approved for reporting?1 For the Petitioner: Mr. Surender K. Sharma, Advocate. For the Respondents: Mr. Sikander Bhushan, Deputy Advocate General. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge Notice. Mr. Sikander Bhushan, learned Deputy Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. Petitioner is serving as Trained Graduate Teacher (Non-Medical) at Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Kheel, Tehsil Karsog, District Mandi, H.P. He seeks directions to respondents to consider transferring him to a place near his home town in terms of his representation enclosed as (Annexure P-1). 3. Heard and considered the case file. 1 Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 4. In his representation (Annexure P-1), the petitioner has clearly spelt out that he was posted at his present station in March, 2024. That being the situation, then admittedly, petitioner is yet to complete his tenure of at the present station. Further the petitioner has also stated in his aforesaid representation that his wife is serving at GSSS, Badhera Rajputan which is near to his home station. Given this, petitioner’s prayer for transfer to his home station on the ground of his son pursuing higher studies in Engineering College at Sunder Nagar is also not maintainable. According, I do not find any merit in this petition seeking to direct the respondents to consider petitioner’s case for transfer at this stage when he has not completed his normal tenure. Hence, the petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. Jyotsna Rewal Dua November 17, 2025 Judge yogesh
