Though the petition is listed today for preliminary hearing, with the consent of counsel for the respective parties, it is heard. 2. The captioned Writ Petition is filed seeking following reliefs: a. Issue a Writ of Certiorari to quash the notice dated 23.06.2025 issued by the fourth respondent vide Annexure-E. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:24068 WP No. 19483 of 2025 b. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the fourth respondent to consider the representation dated 26.06.2025 vide Annexure-F. Counsel for the respective parties urged several contentions. Heard the arguments and perused the Writ papers with care. 3. Based on the letter from the BBMP, the BESCOM Authority issued a Communication to the petitioner on 23.06.2025 and intimated that they would stop electricity connection and called upon her to file her objections. Accordingly, the petitioner has submitted her objections on 26.06.2025. The petitioner has grievance about the disconnection of the power supply. Taking note of the fact that the petitioner has suitably replied to the communication, this Court deems it proper to direct the BESCOM Authority to consider the objection filed by the petitioner and act in accordance with the law within two weeks from the receipt of certified copy of this order. Till consideration of the objection, the BESCOM Authority shall not take coercive step for disconnection of power supply. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:24068 WP No. 19483 of 2025 Needless to observe that the petitioner shall pay the regular consumption charges. 4. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Since mandamus is ordered, there is no need to issue notice to other respondents.
