ORAL ORDER
Petitioner, a retired Assistant Lecturer in the Library Science, Department of the Government Polytechnic for Women is before this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus to consider her representation dated 25.01.2016 and 14.02.2020 (Annexures-D and D1), wherein she has requested to extend AICTE pay scale and for grant of consequential benefits.
2. The petitioner is a retired Government Servant and she is provided with an alternate forum for redressal of her grievance under the Administrative Tribunals Act,
1985. Normally, when an alternative remedy is provided, this Court would not exercise jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

3. Since the petitioner is provided with alternative Forum for redressal of her grievance, I decline to exercise jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Tribunal for redressal of her grievance.
4. With the above, writ petition stands
disposed of.
