Heard Sri Rajendra Kumar Ojha, learned counsel for petitioner and perused the record. 2. Petitioner has approached this Court that his claim for pension was rejected by means of impugned order dated 31.07.2021 without assigning any reason. 3. This Court vide order dated 02.04.2024 has directed the respondents to file counter affidavit, however, according to office report, no counter affidavit has been filed till date. 4. In aforesaid circumstances, since no specific reason has been assigned in impugned order dated 31.07.2021, except that in terms of rules of U.P. Power Corporation Limited petitioner is not entitled for pension, therefore, it is set aside and the writ petition is disposed of with observation that if petitioner files a fresh representation, the same will be considered and decided in accordance with law by assigning reasons for granting or refusing pension.
