AD 49 July 22, 2025 Ct. 28 SG CRM(A) 2234 of 2025 Reject An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Kalyani P.S. Case No.457 of 2025 dated 09.05.2025 under Sections 126(2)/118(2)/115(2)/351(2)/3(5) of the BNS, 2023. And In the matter of: Mana @ Mona Hizra @ Rabin Das … petitioner Mr. Shibaji Kumar Das Ms. Nilanjana Sarkar Mr. Aniket Kanrar … for the petitioner Mr. Binoy Kumar Panda Ms. Ankita Paul … for the State Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that heated exchange took place between two groups of transgender. No grievous injury was inflicted on anyone. Learned counsel for the State refers to the injury report and statements of the witnesses. Considering the injury report showing serious injury on a vital part of the body like head and in view of the mention of the name of the petitioner in injury report as one of the assailants, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
