ANJARIA and HON'BLE MR JUSTICE M.I.ARUN ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. JUSTICE N. V. ANJARIA) While learned Single Judge, in his order dated 22.01.2024, has provided that the respondent-the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) shall ensure that steps pursuant to the order under Section 356 of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Act, 2020 would be taken to its logical end as per law, there is no time limit fixed by learned Single Judge for taking such action. 2. In that view, the plea and the prayer in the petition that contempt is committed is not well-founded. 3. Accordingly, the contempt petition is not entertainable. 4. However, since there is an order of the Court, it is provided that necessary steps in accordance with law may be taken by the - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:7642-DB CCC No. 777 of 2024 BBMP within eight weeks from today failing which, the respondent- BBMP may be exposed to contempt jurisdiction. 5.
