1.GP FOR REVENUE
RRRJ & TCDS,J W.A.No.927 of 2025 The Court made the following Order: (perHon’ble Sri Justice R. Raghunandan Rao) Heard Sri A. Syam Sundar Reddy, learned counsel for the appellant and Idarned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. An extent of Ac.4.83 cents in Sy.No.20/1 of Buchipalle Village, Peddbthippasamudram Mandal, Annamayya District, had been assigned to one Sri Meda Lakshmi Narayana. After his demise, the property devolved upon his son by name Sri Meda Chandra Mohan. This land was transferred to the appellant herein, by way of a registered deed of sale, dated 23.01.2024. 2. Notices under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’), were served on in Form-ll notice dated 17.06.2025. The appellant, being aggrieved by these proceedings, had approached this Court by way of W.P.No.16519 of 2025 and it came to be allowed by an order dated 14.07.2025. The learned Single Judge, on the ground that the procedure stipulated under the Act and the Rules had not been followed, set aside the notices with the further observation that this would not preclude the respondent authorities from adhering to the procedure contemplated under the provisions of the Act. Aggrieved by this order, the appellant approached this Court contending that further leave to the respondent authorities to continue the proceedings under ! the prpvision of the Act and the Rules could not have been given inasmuch as the provisions of the Act itself are not applicable to the land. 3.

The appellant also relied upon the proceedings of the District Collector, dated Nil.11.2023, deleting the land of the vendor of the appellant from the prohibitory list mandated under Section 22A of the Registration Act, 1908. The appellant would contend that the land had been purchased by the appellant after the land had become freehold land by virtue of operation of law and after, the revenue authorities having accepted such conversion, had deleted the land from the prohibitory list mandated under Section 22A of the Registration
5. Act. 6.
Learned counsel for the appellant would contend that in such circumstances, the provisions of the Assigned Lands Act would not apply, as the primary condition of non-alienation, which attracts the provisions of the Act, is not available any more. Learned Government Pleader for Revenue would contend that though the aforesaid
submissions of the appellant cannot be disputed; the fact
