The Court made the following: ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“.... a Writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents more particularly respondent No 4 in frequently calling the petitioners to the 4th respondent police station upon the instance of the respondent No 5 and 6 and harassing the petitioners and interfering in the fundamental rights of Life and personal liberties of the petitioners as illegal arbitrary without jurisdiction and also violating Article 14 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents not to harass the petitioners in calling to the respondent No 4 Police Station and not to interfere with the personal liberties of the petitioners.”

Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that basing on the complaint of the respondent No.5, the petitioners were called to the police station for preliminary enquiry and further the police have registered a case against the petitioners in Crime No.293 of 2017 of Garividi Police Station, for the offences punishable under Section 498A read with 34 IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
