The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 257 of 2020, for the offence registered under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned C.J.M at Hazaribag. On 09.09.2020 at about 8:00 p.m, two motorcycle riders snatched the chain of the informant. They also looted Rs.10,000/- from her companion. The informant has stated the part number of the motorcycle, which was used in the commission of the offence. She has also stated that the accused persons took her mobile number and started threatening her that if she reported the matter to the police, she will have to face the dire consequences. It was submitted that petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. It was further submitted that he has not been put on T.I. Parade. It was finally submitted that the informant has stated that the part registration number of the motorcycle was 4638 and there can be several vehicles with the registration No.4638. It was also submitted that the mobile number by which, the informant was threatened, does not belong to the petitioner and it belongs to the co-accused. Considering the nature of allegation, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M at Hazaribag, in connection with Muffasil P.S.
