Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record. The present Habeas Corpus Writ Petition has been filed with a prayer to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Habeas Corpus commanding the respondent Nos.2 to 5 to produce the corpus namely Smt. Vikki Devi wife of Kuldeep Singh Som, resident of Village-Akalpura, Police Station Sardhana, District Meerut before this Court and after taking their statement handed over to her husband Kuldeep Singh Som. Pursuant to the order dated 06.05.2025, the petitioner Smt. Vikki Devi (corpus) has been produced before this Court and she has been identified by counsel for the respondent nos. 4 and 5. On the query being raised, the petitioner Smt. Vikki Devi (corpus) states that she is residing with respondent nos. 4 and 5 as per her own free will and accord and has not been illegally detained. She has refused to go with Kuldeep Singh Som (Husband). In view of the above, this Court finds that there is no such illegal detention of the corpus. The present petition lacks merit and is liable to be dismissed. The present Habeas Court petition is accordingly, dismissed.
