ORAL ORDER The petitioner is compelled to approach this Court as there is complete inaction on the part of respondent - Tahasildar in not implementing the
order dated 31.10.2019 passed by Assistant Commissioner in RA(BN)118/2019 as per Annexure-A.
2. The Assistant Commissioner, while addressing the petitioner's grievance in regard to reduction of the extents in the RTC contrary to the extents mentioned in the sale deed dated 15.06.1978, on enquiry, found that the petitioner has purchased 2 acres 20 guntas, while in the RTC, it is reflected as 2 acres 12 guntas including karab. Therefore, the Assistant Commissioner has issued

direction to the respondent - Tahasildar, which is evidenced at Annexure-A. This order is dated 31.10.2019.
3. Since there is complete laxness on the part of the respondent - Tahasildar in not rectifying the extents in terms of the directions issued by the Assistant Commissioner and the extents reflected in the registered sale deed dated 15.06.1978, this is a fit case, where mandamus lies.
4. In view of assurance given by the learned HCGP that the respondent - Tahasildar will forthwith rectify the extents, this Court proceeds to pass the following;
ORDER
(i) The writ petition is allowed.
(ii) The respondent - Tahasildar shall forthwith rectify the error in regard to the land held by the petitioner by strictly adhering to the observations made

by the Assistant Commissioner coupled with the extents reflected in the registered sale deed dated 15.06.1978.
(iii) This exercise shall be accomplished within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of order copy.
