The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 57 of 2024, for the offence registered under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of Smt. Vidyawati Kumari, learned SDJM at Khunti. On 14.06.2024, unknown thieves committed theft of twenty-four batteries from BSNL Tower at Sangor. It was submitted that nothing was recovered from the possession of petitioner. It was further submitted that name of the petitioner has transpired in confession of co-accused from whom batteries were recovered. It was further submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Smt.
