This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for:
“.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the official respondent No.5 in not providing duty passports to the petitioners in relation to Crime No. 327 of 2023 (Head Man Missing) and Crime No. 329 of 2023 of Piduguralla Police Station, Palnadu District, as illegal, arbitrary, and unconstitutional, and consequently direct the official respondent No.5 to issue the said duty passports forthwith and submit them before this Honourable Court.”

Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that while Respondent No.6 holding Diary Charge, Petitioners herein, while leaving the Police Station on account of the duties of Respondent No.6, made an entry in General Diary and as such, the question of issuance of duty passport to the Petitioners does not arise since Petitioner No.1 being the investigating officer can move to anywhere in his own accord for the purpose of investigation. 3. Sri P.Mallikarjuna Rao, learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
