The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Adityapur P.S. Case No. 322 of 2024, corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No.27 of 2024, for the offence registered under Section 22 (b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, pending in the court of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge at Seraikella. It was submitted that 4.14 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It was further submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of small quantity. Learned A.P.P on behalf of the State has opposed the prayer for bail but does not dispute the aforesaid fact. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge at Seraikella, in connection with Adityapur P.S.
