Also heard Mr.D. Nath, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 3. 2. The instant contempt application has been filed under Section 11/12 of Contempt of Courts Act 1971, read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India, for alleged wilful disobedience and deliberate violation of the order dated 27/01/2025, passed in writ petition being number WP(C)/5807/2023 by the Hon’ble Gauhati High Court. 3. By the said orderdated 27/01/2025, the Court observed that the matter had remanded back the matter to the respondent authorities to re-examine the claims of the petitioner for regularization and thereafter pass appropriate orders, keeping in view the service book of the petitioner. The direction was to be carried out within 60 days from the date of the receipt of the order. 4. It is violation of this order that the petitioner has alleged in the present contempt petition. When the matter is called up today, Mr. D. Nath,the learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 3,has placed an order issued by Executive Engineer PWRD, Dispur and Dimoria Territorial Road Division, Bamunimaidum, wherein it is stated that the petitioner, who was initially appointed as work charge roller handyman, in the year 1992was transferred and posted under the Assistant Executive Engineer, PWD and his service was extended from time to time. Further, by the said order, it was decided that no more regularization of service of work charged master role or similarly placed Page No.# 3/3 workers can be undertaken by the State Government even if such workers were engaged prior to 01/04/1993. As such, the case of the petitioner was rejected for regularization by the speaking order dated 16/03/2026. 5. In view of the said order, the instant contempt application is closed with a fresh cause of action, if any. 6. The contempt petition is dismissed. 7. The order is kept as a part of the record.
