Notice. Mr. Mohit Sankhyan, learned counsel, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs:-
“I. That writ or order in the nature of Mandamus may kindly be issued with the direction to the respondents to reduce the contract demand from 32000 kVA to 26000 kVA at 132 KV feeder of Suli Unit (ACL-1) and further to

September, 2025 on 26000 kVA and to adjust extra amount received in the running bills for the petitioner w.e.f. September, 2025. II. That appropriate writ or order may kindly be issued with the direction to the respondents to consider application dated 11.08.2025 (Annexure P-8) for reduction of Contract Demand from 32000 kVA to 26000 kVA at 132 KV feeder of Suli Unit (ACL-1) in terms of Clause No.18.1.6 of The Sales Manual Instructions. III. That this Hon'ble Court may be issued writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the reduction of the contract demand of the petitioner to be reduced w.e.f. the first application filed by the petitioner for reduction of contract demand i.e. 28.10.2024 and expiry of one month the petitioner reduced contract demand may be considered to be 26000 kVA and all the financial benefits which happened to be accrued on account of reduce contract demand of 26000 kVA from 01.10.2024 may be ordered to be released to the petitioner.”
3. It is not in dispute that petitioner has efficacious alternate remedy available to it for the reliefs prayed for in this writ petition, under Section 42 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003 as also the Regulations framed thereunder. 4.
Confronted with above as also in view of Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited and others Versus MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Limited and others2, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to avail the alternate remedy as available to the petitioner in law. 2 (2024) 8 SCC 513
