Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for the respondents. 2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner was an applicant for the NEET-PG Examinations, 2025-26 and the last date for submission of the applications was 07.05.2025. It is submitted that though he had made an application and had paid the prescribed examination fee of Rs.3,500/- online on 17.04.2025 and the amount was deducted from his Bank Account, the payment transaction was shown as failure and the amount was refunded to the petitioner’s account. It is contended that the petitioner was deployed in Operation Sindhoor till 29.05.2025 and therefore, he - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:23820-DB WP No. 18473 of 2025 could not make the payment in time. He seeks a direction to the respondents to accept the examination fees and to permit him to participate in the examination to be held on 03.08.2025. 3. The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India submits that such a direction to re-open the portal which already stands closed on 07.05.2025 cannot be issued by this Court at this stage. It is submitted that the Hon’ble Apex Court in Vanshika Yadav Vs. Union of India and Others in W.P(Civil) No.335/2024 decided on 23.07.2024 has specifically deprecated the action of opening of the portal for permitting payment of fees or uploading of details at belated stages. 4. It is submitted that in an identical situation the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court by its judgment dated 02.05.2025 in W.P No.13651/2025 has rejected a similar writ petition. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:23820-DB WP No. 18473 of 2025 5. Having considered the contentions advanced, we are of the opinion that in the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court would not be justified in directing the re-opening of the portal to make the payments, since the last date for submission of the application was on 07.05.2025.
