Learned counsel for the parties have apprised that the judgment alleged to have been violated has been stayed by the Hon’ble Apex Court, as noticed in the previous order passed in the present petition on 07.11.2025: - “Learned counsel for the respondents has placed on record copy of order dated 27.10.2025 passed in State of Himachal Pradesh and others versus Balwant Singh and others, Special Leave Petition (Civil) Diary No. 59244/2025 in terms of which, 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes judgment rendered in State of H.P and others versus Balwant Singh and others, LPA No. 57 of 2017 decided on 20.10.2024, alleged to have been violated, has been stayed. List after four weeks.” 2. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the stay order passed by the Hon’ble Apex Court against the judgment in question, the present proceedings be closed. However, liberty be reserved to the petitioners to seek appropriate remedy, in accordance with law, for the redressal of their grievance(s), at an appropriate stage, in case need so arises, in future. 3. Granting liberty as prayed for, the present proceedings are closed. Notices issued to the respondents are discharged. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
