It is the case of the petitioner that her husband is serving in the Power Grid Corporation of India; He was transferred and posted at Chamba in June, 2025. In view of this, the petitioner made a request on 16.06.2025 to the respondents to transfer her either to Branch Office, Chamba or Regional Office, Chamba or Branch Office, Kriyan, Chamba. Petitioner’s grievance is that instead of deciding her representation seeking transfer to in or around Chamba, the respondents vide order dated 16-17.10.2025, transferred her to CIS, Cell, Head Office, Mandi. 4. The petitioner felt aggrieved against her transfer to Mandi. She accordingly preferred a representation on 17.10.2025 (Annexure P-4) to the respondent for keeping in abeyance or cancelling her transfer to Mandi and for amendment in the transfer order in terms of her previous representation dated 16.06.2025. In the aforesaid representation dated 17.10.2025, the petitioner also highlighted that her husband was recently posted at Chamba, therefore, he cannot move for transfer; The petitioner is posted at great distance from the place of posting of her husband and it would be thus difficult for her to manage work-life balance not only at Shimla but also at Mandi considering the fact that she is mother of two small children aged 03 years and 05 years. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that petitioner has been transferred on administrative grounds to Head Office, Mandi and has been relieved 3 ( 2025:HHC:36253 ) from Jathia Devi, Shimla on 21.10.2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner responded by submitting that petitioner has not yet joined at the transferred station and none else has been posted at Jathia Devi. 5. Considering the facts of the case, it would be in the interest of justice, equity and good conscience to direct the respondents to decide petitioner’s representations dated 16.6.2025 (Annexure P-2) and 17.10.2025 (Annexure P-4) in accordance with law within a period of two weeks keeping in view the circumstances mentioned therein. Ordered accordingly. Till such time, petitioner shall be permitted to continue to serve at Branch Office, Jathia Devi, Shimla. The order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any. Jyotsna Rewal Dua Judge 30th October, 2025(yogesh)
