Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Barwadih P.S. Case No. 51 of 2024, corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No.14 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 21, 22 and 29 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh, learned Sessions Judge, Latehar. On 20.06.2024 at about 1.15 p.m., Barwadih Police apprehended the petitioner along with co-accused Niraj Kumar @ Gulla and on search, 12.27 grams of brown sugar were recovered from their joint possession. It was submitted that the seized contraband comes within the purview of commercial quantity. Learned Spl.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the petitioner has got two criminal cases of similar nature.
