The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Adityapur P.S. Case No.378 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 17(b)/21(b)/27(A) of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Seraikella. It was submitted that 4.57 grams of brown sugar was recovered from the joint possession of the petitioner and co-accused. It was further submitted that quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of small quantity. Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail, but does not dispute the aforesaid facts. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Seraikella, in connection with Adityapur P.S.
