JUSTICE CHILLAKUR SUMALATHA - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:5981 RP No. 202 of 2022 ORAL ORDER Heard Sri.Hareesh Bhandary.T learned counsel for the petitioners as well as Sri.Pradeep.B learned counsel for respondent No.3. 2. This review petition is filed seeking the Court to correct the typographical errors which crept in the judgment rendered by this Court in MFA No.6737/2014 dated 04.04.2019. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners filed a petition claiming compensation and the same was numbered as MVC No.620/2013 and was dealt with by the Additional Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Kundapura. MVC No.620/2013 was disposed of and through order dated 21.08.2014, the Tribunal granted a sum of Rs.3,20,440/- as compensation. Being dissatisfied with the amount awarded as compensation, the claimants preferred appeal before this Court and the same is MFA No.6737/2014. The said appeal was disposed of on 04.04.2019. The compensation granted by the Tribunal was enhanced globally by Rs.1,00,000/-. However, in the preamble, instead of mentioning the case number as MVC - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:5981 RP No. 202 of 2022 No.620/2013, it is mentioned as MVC No.609/2013. Also at para 2 of the judgment, instead of mentioning the compensation that is awarded by the Tribunal as Rs.3,20,440/-, it is mentioned as Rs.1,03,970/-. As the said mistakes are nothing but typographical errors, this review petition is filed for correcting those mistakes. Learned counsel thereby seeks to pass necessary orders. 4. Sri.B.Pradeep learned counsel for respondent No.3 submits that the material available on record reveals presence of typographical errors and therefore, necessary orders may be passed. 5. Record discloses presence of two typographical errors as pointed out by learned counsel for the petitioners. Therefore, this Court considers desirable to allow this review petition. Thus, the following: ORDER (i) The review petition is allowed. (ii) The case number mentioned in the preamble of the judgment in MFA No.6737/2014 dated 04.04.2019 - 5 - NC: 2025:KHC:5981 RP No. 202 of 2022 i.e, MVC No.609/2013 be corrected as MVC No.620/2013. (iii) The amount awarded as compensation by the Tribunal that is mentioned at para two of the judgment in MFA No.6737/2014 dated 04.04.2019 i.e., Rs.1,03,970/- be corrected as Rs.3,20,440/-.
