This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive reliefs:- “i) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the Respondent No.1 to sponsor the name of the petitioner for the post of Police Constable (Male) under the 3% sports quota, in accordance with the prescribed recruitment rules and notification. ii) Issue a writ of mandamus to declare the actions of Respondent No.4 as illegal, unconstitutional, arbitrary 1 Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 and mala fide, thereby quashing the impugned decision of non-sponsorship.” 3. Learned Deputy Advocate General has placed on record office instructions dated 02.12.2025 alongwith compendium of documents and on that basis submits that the Government of Himachal Pradesh, Department of Personnel, has issued a circular on 12.11.2025, approving ‘Wushu’ game to qualify for consideration for appointment/ engagement to Group-A, B, C and D posts/services under the State Government. In view of above, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondents to take consequent follow up action in accordance with law within four weeks from today.
