Petitioners apprehend threat to their life. Petitioners alleged that respondent No. 4, who is brother of petitioner No. 1, is unhappy with their marriage and he has threatened the petitioners that he will eliminate them. 3. As per document brought on record, both are major. 4. Learned State Counsel, based on record, makes a statement that both the petitioners are of marriageable age. The certificate of registration of marriage, issued by Marriage Registration Officer, Ghaziabad (U.P.) is on record as Annexure-2 to the writ petition. 5. Since both the petitioners are residents of District Haridwar, therefore, Writ Petition is disposed of by permitting petitioners to approach the SHO Police Station-Bhagwanpur, District Haridwar, for protection. 6. Application, if made by petitioners, shall be considered and decided within one week 2025:UHC:1368-DB from the date of its receipt. 7. Till the decision is taken on petitioners’ application, the SHO concerned shall ensure that no harm is caused to them. 8. Let copy of this order be issued today itself, as per rule.
