The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Lesliganj P.S. Case No.83 of 2024 (S.T. Case No.467 of 2024), for the offences registered under Sections 189(5), 190, 191(2), 103(1) of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the court of Mr. Shankar Kumar Maharaj, learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Palamau at Daltonganj. On 15.07.2024, JPS bus dashed a tempo near Kundari forest check post. Two passengers of the tempo died in the accident. It is alleged that the petitioner and co-accused persons set ablaze the said bus. It is also alleged that driver of the bus was assaulted by the mob due to which he succumbed to his injuries. It was submitted that there is general allegation against all the accused persons. It was further submitted that several co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail, but does not dispute the aforesaid facts. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Mr. Shankar Kumar Maharaj, learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Palamau at Daltonganj or his successor, in connection Lesliganj P.S.
