The petitioner was entrusted with the work of transportation, supply, and delivery of potable water in the town of Podili. The petitioner was required to arrange the necessary number of tractors and tankers for the supply of water. The 4^^ respondent entrusted the work and the petitioner duly completed it. The supplies were also recorded in the M-Book by the Commissioner of the Podili Nagara Panchayat, who is the 4**^ respondent herein. It is submitted that although the water was supplied and duly certified in the M-Books, no payments have been made. It is further submitted that the tender was called for an amount of Rs.37,60,000/-, and the petitioner completed the work as per the agreement within a period of three months. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, appearing for respondents, 1, 3 and 5 to 7, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance & Planning, appearing for respondent No.2, and the learned standing counsel appearing for respondents 4 and 8. 3. Considering the submissions, there shall be a direction to respondents 2 and 4 to verify and release the due payable to the 3 W.P. No.22157 OF 2025 Date of order:22.08.2025 ^ petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 4. With the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 5.
