The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to respondents, on account of the fact that the ashes for immersing the cremated remains of the deceased person, i.e., Late Sh. Sedu Ram, being the grandfather of petitioner no. 2 and father of petitioner no. 1, has not been released by the cremation center, i.e., respondent no. 6-Shiv Puri Mukti Dham, being located at Y Block, (Mangolpuri), Shamshan Bhumi, Avantika, Delhi-110085. 2. When the matter was listed for hearing on 09th September, 2025, learned counsel appearing for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (“MCD”) had submitted that MCD had no objection to the release of the ashes of Late Sh. Sedu Ram, father of petitioner no. 1 and grandfather of petitioner no. 2, to the petitioners, so as to enable them to perform the last rites and This is a digitally signed order.
