IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 102 CWP-7258-1999 (O&M) Date of Decision : January 09, 2025 JANKI DASS AND OTHERS -PETITIONERS V/S UNION OF INDIA AND ORS -RESPONDENTS CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI Present: None for the petitioners. Mr. Karan Singh, Advocate for the respondents. *** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL) 1. The instant writ petition was admitted way back on 27.05.1999. On the last date of hearing, i.e. 11.07.2024, none caused representation either on behalf of the petitioners or on behalf of the respondents. Therefore, on 11.07.2024, this Court directed the Registry to inform the counsels for the respective parties regarding the next date of hearing. However, despite being informed about the next date of hearing, today none is representing the petitioners. 2. In these circumstances, this Court is impelled to draw an inference that the petitioners are not interested in pursuing the instant writ petition. Consequently, the instant writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution. 3. Pending application(s) stand disposed of accordingly.
