1. This is the second bail application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS for grant of regular bail to the applicant who has been arrested in connection with Crime No.110/2020, registered at Police Station Khallari, District- Mahasamund, C.G., for alleged commission of offence punishable under Section 20(a)(i) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 2. The applicant was granted bail by order of this Court dated 29.06.2020, passed in MCrC No.3601/2020. However, he could not appear before the concerned trial Court on the date fixed for appearance i.e. 04.11.2024 and was arrested on 08.05.2025 and presently, he is in jail.
3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant could not appear before the trial Court due to bonafide reasons and he has failed only one date of appearance on 04.11.2024, whereas he was regularly appearing before the trial Court despite living in a remote rural area.
4. Since the applicant has defaulted appearance only one date of hearing i.e. 04.11.2024, it is directed that the applicant – Satvan Bandhe be released on bail on him furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one surety in the like sum to the satisfaction of the concerned trial Court, for his appearance as and when
directed.
5. Accordingly, the bail application filed under Section 483 of the BNSS is allowed.
