Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Deoghar (Town) P.S. Case No. 644 of 2024 (N.D.P.S. Case No.1 of 2025), for the offences registered under Sections 111(2)(b) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 21(b), 31 of the N.D.P.S. Act., pending in the Court of learned Special Judge, Deoghar. It was submitted that 5.60 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the joint possession of the petitioner and co-accused persons. It was further submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and this fact has been mentioned at paragraph-11 of this Bail Application. It appears that similarly situated co-accused Dilip Kumar Mahtha has been granted bail by this Court vide B.A. No.470 of 2025. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Deoghar, in connection with Deoghar (Town) P.S.
