ORDER: The present writ petition is filed questioning the inaction of the Respondents in not considering the representation dated 15.05.2025, for appointment to the post of Junior Lecturer, in terms of Rule 3, Category 8(ll)(b) of the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Education Service Rules, 1993, which provides for recruitment by transfer from any other service in Education Department (Non-Teaching Staff of Education Department) to the extent of 10% of the posts.
2. The petitioner was appointed as Junior Assistant in the Office of the Respondent No.4 in the year 2018, on the compassionate grounds. According to the Petitioner, he possesses the requisite educational qualifications for appointment as Junior Lecturer in Physics, and the aforesaid Rules provide for recruitment by transfer from non-teaching staff. Rule 3, Category 8(ll)(b) permits recruitment by transfer from non-teaching staff to an extent of 10%.
3. The
learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that this channel of promotion is not being considered by the Respondents, despite the Petitioner having submitted a representation to that effect on 15.05.2025.
4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services submits that the case of the Petitioner will be considered in terms of the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Education Service Rules, 1993.

Having heard the respective counsel, this Court, is inclined to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 15.05.2025 for promotion to the post of Junior Lecturer, under Rule 3, Category 8(ll)(b) of the Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Education Service Rules, 1993, and to pass appropriate orders. No order as to costs As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
