Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned counsel appearing for the applicants. The present application has been filed with a prayer for impleading Shri. Ningthoujam Geoffrey, IAS, Commissioner (Hr. & Tech. Edn.), Government of Manipur as respondent no. 7 in the connected contempt case. On examination of the record of the said contempt case (C) No. 91 of 2025 there are only 5 respondents and as such, impleadment of Shri. Ningthoujam Geoffrey, IAS should be as respondent no. 6 and not as respondent no. 7. Mr. M. Devananda, learned Sr. counsel and Addl. AG assisted by Ms. Jyotsanda entered appearance on behalf of the said Shri. Ningthoujam Geoffrey, IAS and submitted that the present impleadment application can be allowed. Taking into consideration the submission advance by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of record, this Court is satisfied that impleadment of Shro. Ningthoujam Geoffrey, IAS, Commissioner (Hr. & Tech. Edn.), Government of Manipur is necessary. Accordingly, the present application is allowed, Registry is directed to incorporate the name of Shri. Ningthoujam Geoffrey, IAS, Commissioner (Hr. & Tech. Edn.), Government of Manipur as respondent no. 6 in the connected Cont. Case © No. 91 of 2025. With the aforesaid directions, the present is disposed of.
