Case No. 68/2023 corresponding to N.D.P.S. Case No. 68/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 20 and 22 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Jamshedpur. 3. On 09.11.2023, between 05:00 to 09:00 p.m., Baharagora Police intercepted two vehicles, one Tata Indigo bearing Registration No. JH-05-AV-4968 and Murti Suzuki bearing Registration No. JH-05-BD-8237. On search, 51.170 kgs of cannabis were recovered from the vehicle bearing Registration No. JH-05-AV-4968. 4. One of the vehicle from which the cannabis was recovered belongs to the petitioner. It appears that on seeing the police party, the petitioner fled away from the place of occurrence. 5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was neither apprehended at the spot, nor anything incriminating was recovered from his possession. It was further submitted that he has voluntarily surrendered before the learned Trial Court. 6. Mr. Sunil Kumar Dubey, learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the petitioner is the owner of one of the seized vehicle from which commercial quantity of cannabis was recovered and he fled away after seeing police party. 7. Considering the fact that commercial quantity of cannabis was recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Nandini/-
