Also heard Mr. Bhaskar Sarma, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam and Mr. N Mahajan, the learned Amicus Curiae appearing for the respondent No.2. 2. This is an application under Section 430 (1) of the BNSS, 2023 praying for suspension of sentence and for allowing the applicant to go on bail. 3. I have gone through the impugned judgment. I have also considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 4. The sentence imposed upon the applicant, Janmoni Begum by the learned Special Judge, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur by impugned judgment dated 05.12.2024 passed in Special (NDPS) Case No.11/2019 shall remain suspended till disposal of the connected appeal. 5. The applicant, Janmoni Begum shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Lakhimpur, North Lakhimpur.
