2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure with the following prayer :-
“It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash FIR No. 34/2020 registered under Section 498(A)/34 of IPC in Police Station – Mahila Thana, Bhilai, Distt – Durg (C.G.) and the subsequent proceedings initiated pursuant thereto in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the instant petition has become infructuous as the trial has already been concluded and the petitioner has been acquitted.
