COMMON ORDER: The Criminal Petition No.6183 of 2023 under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioners/accused Nos.5 to 7, seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.74 of 2023 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Vijayawada, for alleged offences under Sections 498-A, 406, 506 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. 2. The Criminal Petition No.2224 of 2025 under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita has been filed by the petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 4, seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.74 of 2023 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Vijayawada, for alleged offences under Sections 498-A, 406, 506 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. 3. I.A.No.1 of 2025 in Crl.P.No.6183 of 2023 is filed by the de-facto complainant/petitioner to accord permission to record the compound of the offences in FIR No.74 of 2023 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Krishna district and allow the criminal petition. 4. I.A.No.2 of 2025 in Crl.P.No.6183 of 2023 is filed by the de-facto complainant/petitioner, seeking to record the compromise and quash the proceedings in FIR.No.74 of 2019 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Krishna district and allow the criminal petition. 4

I.A.No.3 of 2025 in Crl.P.No.2224 of 2025 is filed by the de-facto complainant/petitioner, seeking to accord permission to record the compound of the offences in FIR No.74 of 2023 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Krishna district and allow the criminal petition. 6. I.A.No.4 of 2025 in Crl.P.No.2224 of 2025 is filed by the de-facto complainant/petitioner, seeking to record the compromise and quash the proceedings in FIR.No.74 of 2019 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Krishna district and allow the criminal petition. 7. Learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.1/State as well as learned counsel for the respondent No.2 are present. 8. Today, when the matter is taken up, petitioners and the respondent No.2 are present before this Court. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the 1st accused and the 2nd respondent, who are husband and wife got divorced vide order dated 20.03.2025 in FCOP.No.893 of 2020 on the file of Indira Priyadarshini Undru, XIV Additional District Judge- cum-Additional Family Court, Vijayawada. Learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for respondent No.2 have identified the parties in the open Court. 9. This Court has questioned the respondent No.2 with regard to compromise, and she categorically stated to that extent that she has voluntarily entered into compromise with the petitioners herein. This Court is

satisfied with the identification of the parties and voluntariness in arriving at the compromise. 10. Since the parties entered into settlement and compromise, the Criminal Petitions are allowed and therefore, the proceedings in FIR.No.74 of 2023 on the file of Vuyyuru Rural Police Station, Vijayawada, against the petitioners herein is hereby quashed. 11. Accordingly, I.A.Nos.1 and 2 of 2025 in Criminal Petition No.6183 of 2023 and I.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2025 in Criminal Petition No.2224 of 2025 and Criminal Petition Nos.6183 of 2023 and 2224 of 2025 are allowed. 12. As a sequel, Interlocutory Applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. ____________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N
