Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:30784 Court No. - 5 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 8912 of 2023 Petitioner :- Deepak Kumar Pandey Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 2 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Krishna Murari Tripathi Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Harsh Vardhan Gupta,Shruti Malviya,Suresh Singh Hon'ble Ajay Bhanot,J. The petitioner claimed an enhanced premium amount of GIS. The claim has been denied by the respondents on the footing that the enhanced GIS was admissible to those who has paid the revised premium of Rs. 400/- which was initiated from 20.4.2011. The father of the petitioner died on 18.4.2011. The increased premium towards group insurance had not been paid by the father of the petitioner. Hence, he could not get the corresponding enhanced value of insurance cover. Undoubtedly, the employer U.P. Jal Nigam has deducted Rs. 400/- towards enhanced premium on 1.4.2011, but that was of no avail since the policy of accepting enhanced premium was initiated on 20.4.2011 by the LIC. There is no infirmity in the order. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Sri Sumit Suri holding brief of Sri Harsh Vardhan Gupta, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 is present.
