2025:JHHC:16602 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Α.Β.Α. Νο. 7479 of 2024 Surendra Kumar Sahu @ Manager Surendra Singh Sahu, S/o late Avadh Ram Sahu, R/o village Behind Chhattisgarh Hospital, Prem Nagar, Mowa, PO Sardhu, PS Sardhu, District Raipur (Chhattisgarh). ....Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand …..OP(s) CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Mohit Prakash, Advocate For the State : Mr. Fahad Allam, APP ------- 05/23.06.2025: This is an application filed by the petitioner praying for grant of anticipatory bail in terms of sections 482 and 484 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, as the petitioner has been allegedly implicated in connection with Raidih P.S. Case No. 47 of 2024, for the offences punishable under sections 18/22/27(A)/28/29 of NDPS Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State. 3. The learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner. 4. It is alleged that 506 gram of Opium was being transported in a bus. The conductor and driver of the bus stated that the same was to be delivered to this petitioner. 5. Considering the aforesaid facts I am of the opinion that this case needs proper investigation where the presence of this petitioner is absolutely necessary. Hence, it is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail. 6. Thus, the present anticipatory bail application is dismissed. (ANANDA SEN, J.) KNR/ 2025:JHHC:16602 -2-
