JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ ORAL ORDER 1. Sri Jyothi M. Maradi, learned HCGP accepts notice for respondents. 2. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a) “Declare the seizure and detention of the vehicle No.KA06/B 6755 as illegal and without authority of law and; b) and issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the vehicle bearing No. KA 06/B 6755 by accepting the tax demanded as per Annexure –G; c) and Issue a direction to dispose of the petitioner's application for issue of a fresh registration certificate as per Annexure B and C in respect of vehicle No.KA 06 /B 6755 as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law; d) and grant such other reliefs in the interest of justice and equity” 3. Though there are several issues raised in the above petition, the submission of the learned counsel for the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:23774 WP No. 17680 of 2025 petitioner is that the petitioner is now willing to make payment of the amount due for fresh registration of the vehicle in question for issuance of registration certificate by the respondents as per the Demand Notice dated 21.03.2025 within two days from now. 4. In that view of the matter, if such payment is made by the petitioner to respondent No.1, it would be for respondent No.1 to pass necessary orders on the request of the petitioner for issuance of the fresh registration certificate within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the said amount. 5.
