Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Lohardaga P.S. Case No. 142 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 317(5)/3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 25(1-b)a/26/35 of the Arms Act, pending in the Court of learned C.J.M., Lohardaga. On 09.07.2024, Lohardaga police apprehended this petitioner along with co-accused persons while they were travelling on a stolen motorcycle. On search, a loaded country made pistol was recovered from co-accused Avishek Kumar @ Santosh Sahu @ Ghujru @ Avishek Sahu. It was submitted that nothing incriminating was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It was further submitted that petitioner is in custody for more than six months. It was finally submitted that co-accused Avishek Kumar @ Santosh Sahu @ Ghujru @ Avishek Sahu from whose possession firearm was recovered, has been granted bail by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Lohardaga, in connection with Lohardaga P.S.
