The present writ petition has been filed for issuance of direction upon the respondent no.2-State Transport Authority, Jharkhand to dispose of the petitioner’s on-line application no.JH-CS-PT-1974 (Annexure-3 to the writ petition) for countersignature of Permit No.BR2022-SC-1940A issued with respect to the bus bearing registration no.BR-02 PB 7021 by the State Transport Authority, Bihar for the period from 6th September, 2022 to 5th September, 2027 for the route-Gaya to Daltonganj (via Aurangabad-Hariharganj). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on the basis of the agreement entered between the State of Bihar and the State of Jharkhand, the petitioner applied before the State Transport Authority, Bihar for grant of permit for the aforesaid route. It is further submitted that pursuant to grant of Permit No.BR2022-SC-1940A for the route in question, the State Transport Authority, Bihar, Patna vide its letter dated 2 W.P.(C) No.6837 of 2024 27th September, 2022 (Annexure-2 to the writ petition) requested the respondent no.2 to countersign the permit for 5 years w.e.f. 6th September, 2022. Thereafter, the petitioner also applied for countersignature of permit by on-line application no.JH-CS-PT-1974, however, till date no step has been taken by the respondent no.2 in this regard which has compelled him to prefer the present writ petition. 3. Mrs. Nirupma, learned A.C. to Sr. S.C.-II appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that if no decision on the petitioner’s on-line application for countersignature of the permit in question has been taken by the respondent no.2, the same will be taken without further delay. 4. Considering that petitioner’s online application for countersignature of the permit in question is said to be pending before the respondent no.2, the said respondent is directed to take up the same and dispose it of in accordance with law within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with aforesaid direction. (Rajesh Shankar, J.) Rohit/
