ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed to issue direction to respondent No.2 to issue e-katha in respect of the property bearing No.1721/1457 assigned with PID No.29- 4-1, Jayanagar Ward, B.H.Raod, Nelamangala.

Sri.S.Mahesh, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.2, submits that the manual application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of e-Katha cannot be entertained by respondent No.2, as the current procedure mandates submission only through the designated online portal. He submits that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), in consonance with the digitization policy and for the purpose of streamlining

revenue records, has shifted to an online system for processing applications relating to e-Katha. Therefore, the petitioner is required to submit his application through the official online platform prescribed for this purpose, duly annexing all requisite documents as per the standard procedure.

The learned Standing Counsel further submits that if the petitioner complies with this requirement and submits an online application in the prescribed format, accompanied by all the necessary and relevant documents, then respondent No.2 shall consider the said application in accordance with law and proceed to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable period. It is further submitted that respondent No.2 has no objection in considering such a request, provided the application is filed in the manner prescribed under the relevant rules and procedures currently in force.

4. Recording the assurance given by respondent No.2, this Court proceeds to pass the following;
ORDER i) The writ petition stands disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to submit an application for e-Katha through the prescribed online portal, duly enclosing all requisite documents as mandated under the applicable rules and guidelines. ii) Upon receipt of such an online application along with all necessary documents, respondent No.2 shall consider the same in accordance with law and proceed to take an appropriate decision thereon within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the said application.
