By filing this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for following reliefs:-

“for issuance of an appropriate writ or writs,
order or orders, direction or directions to the respondents authorities to pay the fixed amounts to the Petitioners for their works ‘Sarvekchhan Karya Nigrani’ at Sixth Accounts Monitoring in the Circle of Katras Nagar Nigam at Baghmara Block.

Heard learned counsel representing the petitioners and
learned counsel representing the respondents.

It is the case of the petitioners that they have been allotted the work of economic survey for the year 2012 – 13. The petitioners have completed their work but in spite of that, the payment of remuneration against the said work has not been made to them.

The petitioners have represented before respondent No.4 – the Block Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer-cum-Charge Officer, Baghmara, Dhanbad, but he has not taken any step as on date to verify as to whether the petitioners have completed the work, whether they are entitled to get the amount of remuneration or not and if they are entitled, the same has been paid to them or not.

Learned counsel representing the petitioners submits that the representation of the petitioners is pending before respondent No.4 and suffice it would be if a direction is given to respondent No.4 to consider the case of the petitioners and pass an appropriate order.

Considering the prayer of the petitioners, I direct the petitioners to file a fresh representation before respondent No.3 – The Deputy Commissioner, Dhanbad, within four weeks from today.

If such representation is filed claiming remuneration,

attaching documents in support of their claim, the respondent No.3 will make an enquiry and will decide as to whether the petitioners are entitled for any monetary benefit or not. If the petitioners are entitled for any benefit, the same shall be extended to them.

If respondent No.3 decides to pass an order against the petitioners, the reasons thereof should be communicated to the petitioners.

The entire process should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order along with the representation.
10. In view of the aforesaid direction, the instant writ petition stands disposed of.
