Learned Additional Advocate General has filed fresh compliance affidavit dated 27.03.2023 of Director General of Police along with documents including the offer of appointment/appointment letter dated 27.03.2025 issued to the petitioner, to the post of Junior Office Assistant (IT) in Police Department on compassionate grounds in compliance of judgment dated 31.08.2023 passed in CWPOA No.4593/2020. 2. Vide aforesaid judgment, respondents were directed to offer the appointment to the petitioner on compassionate ground as expeditiously as possible latest by 31.10.2023 and now we are in March, 2025. The delay in offering appointment 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2025:HHC:8232 has occurred on account of laxity or inaction on the part of the respondents. Petitioner was available for joining the job and work with the Department, but he has been prevented by the omission and commissions on the part of the respondents from joining the duty. 3. In view of the such situation, petitioner shall be deemed to have been appointed on 31.10.2023 and he shall be entitled for all service benefits from the said date except the actual pay from 31.10.2023 till his joining in sequel to the offer of appointment made to him. 4. Respondents shall carry out necessary entries to the aforesaid effect in the service record of the petitioner. In view of the aforesaid facts and attending circumstances, present execution is disposed of and so also the pending application(s), if any.
