219 01-08-2025 AKG Ct. 15 WPA 13731 of 2025 With CAN 1 of 2025 Pradip Kumar Sardar Vs. The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Hussen Mustafi, Mr. Arka Tilak Bhadra …for KMC Mr. Kanak Kiran Bandopadhyay …for WBSEDCL In Re: CAN 1 of 2025 This is an application for restoration. Having considered the averments made in paragraph 3 of the application, I am of the view that the petitioner has sufficiently explained the reason for his non-appearance on July 16, 2025. Accordingly, CAN 1 of 2025 is allowed, and the writ petition is restored to its original file and number. In Re: WPA 13731 of 2025 Learned counsel appearing for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that, due to certain technical issues and way-leave problems, the electricity connection in favour of the petitioner could not be effected. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that the said issues have already been resolved and that 2 intimation regarding the same has been given to WBSEDCL. It is contended that WBSEDCL is delaying the grant of the electricity connection without any justifiable reason. In view of the above, WBSEDCL is directed to file a report in response to the allegations made in this writ petition within two weeks from date. A reply thereto, if any, may be filed by the petitioner within one week thereafter. List this matter after three weeks under the heading “Motion.” (Kausik Chanda, J.)
