The petitioner, through the medium of present writ petition, has challenged order dated 17.02.2023 passed by the Deputy Commissioner, Samba whereby he has been dismissed from the post of Lambardar for village Mahal Kalandarian, Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba and Tehsildar, Ramgarh has been directed to nominate suitable candidate for the post of Lambardar.The aforesaid order has remained in abeyance by virtue of interim order dated 05.04.2023 passed by this Court. 2. Since a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court has passed a judgment, in the case of “Bashir Ahmad Teli Vs State of J&K & Ors.” (OWP No.1809/2017) decided on 24.07.2025 wherein it has been observed that the official Serial No. 24 2 WP(C) No.837/2023 respondents are free to hold elections in accordance with the rules for appointment of Lambardars, the petition is disposed of at this stage by issuing directions to official respondents to conclude the election process for appointment of Lambardar for village Mahal Kalandarian expeditiously in accordance with the rules. Till such time a new Lambardar is appointed, the interim order dated 04.04.2023 passed by this Court shall remain in force. The petition is disposed of accordingly.
