JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 10.10.2025 [1] Mr. Y. Nikhil, learned counsel appeared for the petitioner, Mr. Th. Vashum, learned GA and Mr. S. Suresh, learned counsel appeared for the respondents. [2] It has been submitted at the bar that this matter was referred for mediation to explore the possibility of an amicable settlement of the dispute between the parties. It has also been submitted that upon the process of mediation, the parties have arrived an agreement and the dispute between the parties has been settled amicably. In this regard, the appointed Mediator has submitted a report and in the said report, the term of settlement between the parties are as under:- “MEDIATION SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT This settlement Agreement is made and entered into on 17-09-2025 by and between Ch. Ibohanbi Singh KABORA MBAM SAPANA CHANU Digitally signed by KABORAMBAM SAPANA CHANU Date: 2025.10.13 16:33:42 +05'30' Page 2 (petitioner) and State of Manipur & Ors. (Respondents), through their duly authorised representatives and along with their respective counsels. TERMS OF SETTLEMENT (i) The petitioner hereby withdraws the instant writ petition, and he shall not prosecute the same further, the Writ petition may be disposed of accordingly. The petitioner has got the reliefs/ prayers sought in the present writ petition in this regard. (ii) The Respondents, have also agreed and have no objection to the disposal of the petition. The parties acknowledge and confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions of this agreement, without any coercion, undue influence, or duress and that their execution of this agreement is voluntary and intentional. The parties have executed this agreement on this 7th day of September, 2025 at the High Court Mediation Centre, High Court of Manipur. We, the parties, confirm that we have reached this settlement through mediation and have signed this Agreement voluntarily, we request the Hon'ble Court to record the settlement and dispose of the case accordingly.” [3] The learned counsel appearing for the parties submitted that as the parties have arrived at an agreement and as the parties have already settled the dispute amicably in terms of the agreement quoted hereinabove, the present writ petition can be disposed of. [4] Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is hereby closed. JUDGE Sapana
