Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. The present writ petition is filed with the following prayer: "i. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the order dated 07.10.2024 passed by respondent no.2 i.e. District Magistrate, Bareilly, District Bareilly, in Case No.1337 of 2021, Computerized Case No.D202112130001337 (State vs. Kamlapati @ Kamal) under Section 17(3) of Indian Arms Act, 1959 (Annexure No.1)." 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that against the impugned order petitioner has remedy of filing appeal. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the aforesaid fact. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appellate authority by filing appeal within thirty days from today. In the event such an appeal is filed, it is expected that the same shall be considered and decided by the appellate authority expeditiously.
