Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition inter-alia with the following prayer:- (a). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the District Magistrate, Agra/respondent no.- 03 to issue freedom fighter dependents certificate in favour of petitioner under the Uttar Pradesh Public Service (Reservation of Physically Handicapped Dependents of Freedom Fighters and Ex-Service Man) Act, 1993, so that justice may be done. (b). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding District Magistrate, Agra/respondent no.-03 to decide the matter of petitioner regarding the pension of freedom fighter within the period specified by this Hon'ble Court. 3. After some arguments, a prayer has been made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner may be permitted to withdraw this present petition with liberty to challenge the circular dated 19.02.2007 issued by the Joint Director, Department of Pension, Lucknow, U.P. 4.
